Vlatko Mileta
Professor - University of Zagreb (1974-1991)

Short bio

After obtaining his PhD in political science at the University of Zagreb in 1970, Stjepan Bratko became professor at the same university in 1974. A specialist of regional economic integration, he was among the first academics in Yugoslavia to focus on Western European economic integration. He contributed to the intellectual debate on this topic in Yugoslavia in the jornal "Politička MIsao" edited by the University of Zagreb, underlying the need for the federation to avoid its isolation among the bloc and seize the opportunities opened up by the process of détente in order to expand relations with the EEC.
