Vice Prime Minister - Council of Ministers (1962-1981)Among his many lower-ranking institutional chairmanships, he headed the Commission for Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation and in this capacity supervised all activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Foreign Trade concerning cooperation with the West; the two ministries reported to him all relevant developments in cooperation with the EEC members and contacts with the EEC organs, while he conveyed summaries to Politburo when necessary; he was also in charge of Bulgarian positions at the CMEA.
