Short bio

One of the main proponents of opening to the West in the late 1960s and early 1970s, severely demoted in 1971 as part of the second wave of reshuffling in the state apparatus in the aftermath of Prague Spring. Between 1983 and 1989 he was Chairman of the Bulgarian Association for Tourism and Recreation, the successor to the Committee for Recreation and Tourism.
