Since 1974, he led a team of tens of experts, who jointly prepared reports for Gierek. In these documents, he regularly pointed out to inefficiencies in Poland's economy, lobbied for the revision of the strategy from the early years of the decade, and recommended easing the burdensome loans repayments through joining the IMF and the WB. He was the author of numerous academic publications.
