Short bio

As ambassador in Italy, in June 1968, Burtică made proposals regarding Romania's approach to the EEC. His proposals were carefully analysed by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. As Minister of Foreign Trade in early 1970s and late 1970s, Burtică was directly involved in designing and puting into practice Romania's trade relations with the West and the EEC.
